For Visitors

Masks are required when entering the venue.
Please wash your hands and disinfect with alcohol.
Temperature checks are required upon admission. If you have a fever of 37.5 or higher, entry will be denied.
Pets are not allowed in the Science Museum. However, guide dogs, service dogs, and hearing dogs are allowed in all areas.

For wheelchair and stroller users

There is no bus stop near the venue. It takes about 10 minutes from the nearest station, Takebashi Station, by wheelchair or stroller. There is one point where the slope becomes somewhat steep. If you find it difficult to come to the venue by yourself, our staff will assist you to pick up your wheelchair or stroller. Please contact us HERE in advance if you wish to visit.

Although some of the exhibition space is narrow, there are ramps available so that all of the works in the museum can be viewed by wheelchair users.

For visitors who are blind and visually impaired

We will have staff on hand to assist visitors who are blind or visually impaired. Please contact us HERE in advance if you would like this service.

For visitors who are deaf and hard of hearing

Reception staff will be wearing masks to prevent infection. Please inform us if you would like to use a written communication method.
We do not have sign language interpreters available, but our staff will carry notepads and download UD Talk to their smart phone so that you can enjoy the event. Please feel free to ask for assistance.

Barrier-Free Restrooms

There is one Barrier-Free Restroom at the venue. Our policy is to provide a safe and comfortable restroom for a diverse range of people, so it is not a "multipurpose restroom (多目的トイレ)" but a space that is safe for wheelchair users, people with children, transgender people, and non-binary people. We ask that all visitors respect each other and use the restrooms while giving way.

The restrooms are located in the same area as those used by visitors to the Science Museum. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and ask for your understanding.

If you have any questions regarding your visit, please feel free to contact us by sending an email to info@easteast.org in advance. We will respond to you individually.
