The directors of EASTEAST_ will host a viewing tour of the venue.
In addition to visiting 10 to 15 galleries each time, we will introduce the artworks and galleries, as well as apprise about the projects and programs.

Toru Matsushita (SIDE CORE)

Born in 1984 in Kanagawa, Japan. Completed the course in Advanced Art at Tokyo University of the Arts. Creates paintings using familiar chemical experiments and industrial production techniques. He creates paintings through the process of observing, manipulating, and editing patterns created automatically by systems, such as drawing with high-voltage electric current and painting with scientific changes in paint. He is also one of the directors of SIDE CORE, an art team that plans graffiti and other street culture projects, and writes about street culture in Japan and abroad.

Sakie Takasu (SIDE CORE)

Founded in 2012, SIDE CORE is an artist collective managed by Sakie Takasu, Tohru Matsushita and Taishi Nishihiro. With the aim of unpacking the rules for public spaces, shifting thinking, finding loopholes, and extending expression and action, they are developing activities both indoors and outdoors under the theme of “expanding creative expression in urban space” from the perspective of street culture. in addition to working as an artist.
