PARCEL opened its doors in June 2019 on the East side of Tokyo. The gallery aims to create a program that transcends various cultures in its distinctive space, a former parking lot in a hotel. The gallery centers on contemporary art, introducing a wide range of artists from both Japan and abroad. In February 2022, the annex space, “parcel,” opened on the second floor of a complex located behind PARCEL. Through these spaces, PARCEL hopes to send out multifaceted messages to our current generation while curating exhibitions and events that best capture the characteristics of the gallery.
