Established in April 2022 in a basement in Hanzomon, Tokyo, MATTER is the fresh-faced successor of the art gallery ANAGRA. Artist Kenji Sakai serves as the director, curating exhibitions from the artist’s point of view. MATTER places emphasis on communication, carving space for the artists’ personal stories within the gallery experience.
