Takuya Yamashita
1985 年三重県生まれ。2013 年京都市立芸術大学大学院美術研究科 修士課程彫刻専攻修了。愛知県在住。 展示空間や素材の物理的・歴史的条件を利用しながら、帰属する共同体を喪失したマスコットなどをモチーフとして、立体や版画、写真、ドローイングなどの制作を行う。存立の場を外的要因によって奪われてきたそれらの表象は、山下による空間と色彩を極度に強調したインスタレーションのなかで、その境遇を反映した心理的状況とともに提示される。 近年の主な個展に「マスコットたちとカニエ・ウェストとタコス男、他」Token Art Center (2021/東京)、「熊と多分インディアンと市長か警察官と背中、他」VOU (2020/京都)、「Yanping N. Rd. Sec. Born in Mie, 1985. M.A. in Sculpture, Faculty of Fine Arts, Kyoto City University of Arts, 2013. Lives and works in Aichi. Using the physical and historical condition of exhibition space and materials, Takuya Yamashita works on three-dimensional objects, wood block printing, photography and drawing with the motif of mascots losing the community which they used to belong. Those representations which are deprived of place where they can exist because of external factors, and they are presented with their phycological situation reflecting them in Yamashita’s installation, that emphasized the space and colors extraordinary. Recent solo exhibitions include “Mascots, Kanye West, Tacos man and others” Token Art Center (2021/Tokyo), “Bears, probably Indians, Mayor or Policeman and their backs, others” VOU (2020/Kyoto), “Yanping N.
