AWASE gallery/ Located in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Awase Gallery is a contemporary art gallery and art space where artists are free to take risks and experiment with new forms of expression. In an era when the boundary between artwork and artist is increasingly fluid, we use the ambiguous, multi-layered theme of “Landscape” as our central axis, presenting artists and architects whose practices engage deeply with space and structure. Focusing on expressions that extend beyond the purely visual—such as abstract approaches in painting or landscape-oriented perspectives in architecture—we showcase presentations that incorporate spatial and temporal elements. Looking ahead, we plan to organize exhibitions that foster collaboration between artists and architects, introduce overseas talent with an emphasis on Asia, and develop cross-disciplinary projects such as workshops in partnership with corporations at our gallery in Shinjuku.
