米国生まれ、日米育ち/映画・哲学をウェズリアン大学で専攻/東京・ニューヨーク拠点
フリーランスの映像作家・アーティスト・翻訳家として活動。短編、ドキュメンタリー、PV、ファッションビデオ、コンサートフィルムを監督。アーティスト・コレクティブLunch Bee Houseと共同で『Ainu Neno An Ainu』(2015)を制作、インスタレーション版を恵比寿映像祭で発表。アーティスト・フィルムメーカー集団Zakkubalanとしてワタリウム美術館、Reborn-Art Festival(2017)、シンガポール・ビエンナーレ(2019)、堂島リバービエンナーレ(2019)で発表。短編『The Chicken』(2020、志賀直哉原作)はロカルノ国際映画祭でワールドプレミア。サンダンス Screenwriters/Directors Lab(2022)フェロー。長編劇映画デビュー作『HAPPYEND』が2024年にヴェネツィア国際映画祭で公開された。

Born in New York, raised between New York and Tokyo. Graduated in Philosophy and Film Studies from Wesleyan University. Filmmaker, artist, and translator based in Tokyo and New York. Directed, shot, and produced short narrative films, documentaries, music videos, fashion spots, and concert films. In 2015, co-directed the ethnographic documentary and art project Ainu Neno An Ainu with the artist collective Lunch Bee House, of which he is a member. Installation version of the project was presented at the Yebisu International Festival for Art & Alternative Visions. As part of the artist-filmmaker collective Zakkubalan, exhibited installation and video works at the 2019 Singapore Biennale, 2019 Dojima River Biennale, Watari-um Museum of Contemporary Art, and 2017 Reborn-Art Festival, among others. Short film The Chicken, based on a story by Naoya Shiga, premiered at the Locarno International Film Festival in 2020. Fellow at the 2022 Sundance Screenwriters and Directors Lab. First feature film Happyend premiered at the 2024 Venice Film Festival.
