6okken is a self-governed, artist-run residence (founded 2022) based in six houses overlooking Mt. Fuji and the lake. Our interdisciplinary community centers its activities on three core pillars: Residency, Projects, and Research. We hold an expanded definition of an ‘artist’: ‘An <attitude> to keep confronting perspectives that would otherwise be lost.’ This is an experimental site for future solidarity, where all potential ‘artists’ connect by sharing life, production, and exchanging these attitudes.
