Japanese musician/ceramic artist. Resides in Ehime Prefecture. Active in the underground scene since the 1970s. Released the album ‘Tenno’ in 1980. After NOISE with Reiko Omura, he centered his activities around the amorphous band “Maher Shalal Hash Baz,” releasing numerous works on overseas labels. He has performed extensively at festivals both domestically and internationally, gaining a following from Jim O’Rourke, Bill Wells, The Pastels, and Tenniscoats.
