LAID BUG opened its doors as a shared office/art gallery in Hatsudai, Tokyo, in 2018 before reopening its space at Daikanyama, Tokyo, in March 2022. Their curatorial approach centers on visual art mediums such as painting, graphics, and photography, oscillating between art, music, and fashion. LADI BUG’s office/studio also acts as art director Toshifumi Kiuchi’s production base, which also handles production functions for client work. The gallery’s activities are not limited to design production and art exhibition planning but include publishing books and records and tie-ups with apparel brands and department stores.
