Launched in 2018, ANOMALY is named after phenomena or entities that cannot be explained by conventional logic or common sense and signify irregularity or deviation. It not only follows the gallery system imported from Europe and America but also aims to be a place of activity that is irregular, powerful, more independent, and free in a way that fits the nature of contemporary art in Asia and Japan. In addition to exhibitions, the gallery conducts research and dialogue, holds talk sessions and performances, and undertakes attempts that deviate from the boundaries of genres. It upholds the stance of being a gallery that faces the demands of the times.
